The Federal Shariat Court (FSC) has finally decided to restart hearing on Riba case with effect from April 23, 2018, for further argumentation and investigation. The said case was adjourned an year ago due to retirement of the Chief judge of the bench.
It is worth mentioning that this case is of great importance for the future of Muslims of Pakistan and the Ummah at large. The constitution of Pakistan clearly emphasises abolition of Riba in all its forms and manifestations as early as possible. The negligence on the part of authorities in this regard has pushed our economy, business and commerce far behind the optimum level. As a result, poverty, indebtedness and unemployment has badly affected the lives of the masses.
